About Navtej Kohli
Navtej Kohli is a native of India who settled in UK after completing his graduation. Now Navtej Kohli is the CEO of an emerging oil exploration company, Granox Ltd. He also strives to help shape the future of young and talented aspiring individuals through Navtej Kohli Career Development Center.
Navtej Kohli was born in New Delhi, India. He graduated from Indian Institute of Technology there with a degree in electrical engineering.
After several years of working in varied businesses, Navtej Kohli realized that the traditional business world was going through turmoil and positions were extremely limited. But, coincidentally, there was an oil boom where opportunities were unlimited.
So Navtej began a career in the oil exploration business, inspired by the fact that in his first year of business in the "oil patch" he made twice as much money as the other ventures. For several years, Navtej Kohli has gained specialization in all aspects of oil, gas and coal bed methane operations. His work has taken him to some very exotic places, including UK, Latin America, Russia, Asia and Middle East. He has also lived and worked in Europe and Middle East.
These experiences have proven to be wonderful grist for his knowledge. Navtej Kohli has written a lot of articles and white papers on oil and gas exploration and alternate sources for energy.
“Seeing life on different continents helps me to understand both the challenges and opportunities that are out there just waiting for the right person to utilize them,” Kohli explains. “Knowing Latin America, Asia and Europe first hand is an invaluable opportunity that becomes a valuable business tool for my customers. It’s the wave of the future.”
Granox, Ltd. is now all set to open up new drilling opportunities throughout Eastern Europe. Knowing that the world is an ever-smaller place, he feels free to commute to any meeting or troubleshooting opportunity from his home in London as well. While some may consider such globetrotting as an extravagance, Kohli knows that to understand the world markets, constant travel is a necessity.
“You can’t let the word ‘fear’ come your way,” says Kohli, while touring the new Russian drilling facility being built for Granox. “You have to gather your information, assess your goals, and just jump in and go for it.” As he stepped up to a drilling tower, “My grandfather used to tell me an old saying, ‘Where there is a will, there is a way.’ Well, we had the will, and we found oil.”
It’s that kind of dynamic thinking that can also help your company leap into its future, a future that can create jobs, fulfill dreams, grow profits and maybe even span continents.
